Liquidity Risk, Future of Eurozone Highlight Forum for Global Corporate Treasury
LONDON, March 7, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --
- gtnews hosts strategic networking event for senior-level finance executives
Corporate treasurers and chief financial officers will convene in May to attend the Forum for Global Corporate Treasury to discuss the key strategic financial issues facing global corporations, including the eurozone crisis, risk management and regulatory challenges from SEPA to Basel III.
The event, produced by gtnews, will take place on 23-25 May at the InterContinental Amstel Amsterdam Hotel, with Bank of America Merrill Lynch as the premier sponsor.
With attendance restricted to corporate treasurers, chief financial officers, finance directors, controllers and assistant treasurers, the Forum is designed to promote confidential discussion among the delegates as they consider business challenges in the finance practice.
Moritz Kraemer, Lead Analytical Manager for the Sovereign Ratings Group for the Middle East and Africa, Standard and Poor's, will open the programme with a keynote discussion on 'Where Next for the Eurozone?' This will be followed by a panel debate on global liquidity risk and in-depth round table discussions. A series of master classes will focus on practical applications such as negotiating credit lines, setting up a payment factory, choosing simpler technology and managing foreign exchange risk.
"We are delighted to sponsor gtnews' Forum for Global Corporate Treasury," said Carole Berndt, head of Global Treasury Solutions for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. "It provides a great opportunity for CFOs and corporate treasurers to step back from their daily activities and discuss the strategic issues affecting treasurers around the world. This year's focus on risk and managing treasury in uncertain times is particularly relevant; and the opportunity presented by the Forum to share ideas and experiences will stand us all in good stead as we prepare for the challenges ahead."
This year, for the first time, your Forum delegate pass will also cover attendance at The Awards for Global Corporate Treasury, held the evening of 24 May.
