Technology to save the Earth: World's first solar-powered robotic recycling system will be installed in Belgium this year.
Containers Maes the Belgian experts in sustainable recycling are to install the now globally available ZenRobotics Recycler™, the world's first robotic recycling system. The Maes facility near the corporate headquarters in Tessenderlo, Belgium, will take delivery of the first international installation of ZenRobotics Recycler within the last quarter of 2012. The complete value of the order exceeds EUR 1 million.
The ZenRobotics Recycler system consists of a powerful conveyor belt feeding system, a specialized sensors package, the robotic picking cell, the recovered fractions container bays, and ZenRobotics Brain™ the artificial intelligence- powered control system. Together the technology enables the sorting of wood, stone, and metal fractions from the incoming construction and demolition waste stream. What is more, the sustainable recycling experts Containers Maes is to run the system on solar power, a world first.
