MANCHESTER, England, April 25, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --
Manchester United clinched the title on Monday night at home to Aston Villa and bookmakers Betfred make the Red Devils 10/1 to break the Premier League record.
With four games of the campaign remaining, United have 84 points and need 12 more to break the record of 95 which was set by Jose Mourinho's Chelsea side in 2004/05.
Betfred boss and Man United fan Fred Done said,
"Clearly Sir Alex Ferguson will have this in mind and with 13 Premier League titles in the bag it would be fitting if Man United could finish the season with this record."
Fred Done famously paid out on his beloved Man United early in 1998 only for Arsenal to win the league. He was the first ever bookmaker to do this and he didn't learn his lesson last year when he paid out early on United again, only for Man City to win the league on goal difference.
Fred added,
"When I got it wrong last year the missus didn't talk to me all summer and told me to never do it again, she said I was a jinx. Well of course I didn't listen and I paid out on the 10th February and this time I was thankfully right. A record 20th title is a remarkable achievement and I believe it is down to the determination of the world's greatest manager Sir Alex Ferguson."
