BRACKLEY, England, August 30, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --
http://mr-pothole.co.uk The notoriety of Mr Pothole's campaign is growing daily, and is aided by the support of newspapers, radio and television. His campaign is not only to see council's pressured into undertaking much needed works (for safer roads) but also to have government address the matter of inadequate funding in what he states as "One of the UK's biggest assets."

Mark Morrell AKA (Mr Pothole) comes from a very successful 25 year career in which he was a respected member of the utilities industry and has been instrumental in major works within Central London, for which he has won multiple awards. Mr Pothole is using his vast experience in road structures and also knowledge of legislation to fuel the national campaign that he is spearheading.
There is heavy involvement from Mr Pothole in a one hour TV documentary to be aired on Channel 5 (in November 2013) with, award winning producer Nicky Taylor at the helm of what is being dubbed 'Pothole Britain'. Mr Pothole has already made news around the world having covered an article written by the campaigning crusader. He has also been the subject for a story in the Sunday Express http://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/421107/Let-s-get-rid-of-potholes.
Mr-pothole.co.uk has its official launch Monday 2nd September 2013 and will give anyone affected by potholes and poor road surfaces, a place to share their experiences and source the latest news about roads in the UK. As the Pothole Plague is a widespread issue across the country, a National e-petition http://epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/51045 has been posted via HM Government's website to hopefully raise the 100k signatures required for the topic to be considered for discussion in the House of Commons (this is also linked directly from mr-pothole.co.uk)
When asked about his agenda Mr Pothole said "My only agenda is to get "OUR ROADS" up to a safe and reasonable standard to prevent any further damage and stop unnecessary injuries and fatalities". Mr Pothole has also received endorsements from The British Bikers Association and is beginning to work closely with Road Death Investigations in what he is trying to achieve. He went on to say "A lot of people have been against HS2 from the start, which I am not against in principle. But, how can government justify such spending when the roads are falling apart?"
Mr Morrell's passion for the issue is so strong that his whole campaign has been self funded. "I have been given the name Mr Pothole, but it is not only potholes that need to be addressed," he said. Mark went on to explain, "We need to review the way in which our roads are maintained, not just the surface of the roads but also the signage, lighting, line painting, gully cleaning and vegetation along the roadside."
Mr Pothole sees the 'failing' UK road network as an epidemic and although he understands that the councils and Highways Agency are attempting to combat a backlog of the worst roads, it is still nowhere enough in the long term.
