Masterchef Vikas Khanna Cooks up a Storm for MH India
NEW DELHI, October 3, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --
- Karun Chandhok drives into the party!
Celebrity chef Vikas Khanna, voted among the 50 Sexiest Men Alive, and owner of New York's most famous address, Junoon restaurant, has once again conjured a food spread you just cannot ignore. The Nutrition Special 2012 of Men's Health magazine, India's largest selling men's magazine, features a never-before-seen photo-shoot with the Amritsar-born Khanna, only one of six Michelin-starred Indian chefs, who sold a dinner with Barack Obama at Junoon earlier this year for a whopping Rs20 lakh each. "I always wanted to be on the cover of Men's Health magazine in the US. To be featured on the cover of Men's Health India is nothing short of a dream come true for me," says Khanna.
Talking about how cooking defines his masculinity, and his eating habits lend definition to his abs, Khanna adds: "Women connect to food in a much deeper way than men: for them a guy who cooks is a sign that he can take care of them. It is an emotion that is embedded in every woman's mind. It is fashionable… it is therapeutic."
Says Jamal Shaikh, editorial director of Men's Health, on the special: "Indian men need not get preoccupied with counting calories. The Men's Health Food Guide is all about how to binge on foods that'll fill your stomach and brighten your mood. It tells you how eating the unhealthiest foods at the right time can turn the damage to naught. Also, it teaches you how eating to satiate hunger is different from eating to satisfy desire, and how you can balance the two."
Other highlights of the issue include a startling weight loss story of race-car driver Karun Chandhok: how he transformed from a fatso to a F1 driver in record time, in his own words. And in true Men's Health style, Chandhok uses his new fit avatar to pose for a photo-shoot on how to upgrade your style quotient.
You can also download a digital copy of the magazine which can be read on tablets and smartphones. Visit http://www.menshealthindia.com/digitalmagazine to know more about the digital editions.
