Maxion Wheels presents the new generation GEN35™ light-weight wheels for heavy trucks at IAA 2014
KONIGSWINTER, Germany, Sept. 3, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- At the upcoming 2014 IAA show in Hanover, Maxion Wheels will present a new market standard for lightweight truck wheels. The new GEN35TM wheel family is 6% lighter than the former wheel generation by Maxion Wheels, and 3.5 % lighter than the lightest available equally-sized truck wheel on the worldwide market.
The weight reduction is a result of innovative design techniques developed by our global Operations and Engineering centers, to optimize the profile of the wheels while simultaneously assuring state-of-the-art performance and safety figures. The wheels have been approved at the most demanding performance requirement in the world, the biaxial test machine for truck wheels, which guarantees a long-lasting and reliable product.
The customer benefits from weight reduction on the truck, which means an increase in payload, as well as from fuel savings and less emissions. Forwarding costs can be reduced since more wheels can be transported at the same time. The new lightweight wheel generation also allows the customer to comply with the EURO VI low emission program in Europe.
GEN35TM is the family name of our new light truck wheel generation, and will be used for our complete range of truck wheel sizes. The series is a result of excellent engineering and product design by Maxion Wheels. "We are proud to be the first to offer the market this revolutionary wheel design, which significantly improves the international standards for lightweight trucks wheels," said Fred Bentley, CEO of Maxion Wheels.
Maxion Wheels will present its innovative product range from September 25 to October 2 at on the IAA show in Hanover, at its booth in Hall 13, Stand C45. Engineers and designers of the new wheel will be on site, as well as the top management and sales team of Maxion Wheels.
