MBNA Offers 19-Month Zero Per Cent Balance Transfer Deal - its Longest Ever - With Lower Transfer Fee
CHESTER, England, June 28, 2011 /PRNewswire/ --
MBNA has launched a balance transfer credit card with zero per cent interest for 19 months for new customers - its longest ever.
Another key advantage of the MBNA Platinum Balance Transfer credit card is that customers can benefit from a highly competitive 2.5 per cent handling fee.
The deal is now available on http://www.mbna.co.uk and will be until 18 July 2011.
The MBNA Balance Transfer credit card offers zero per cent interest on balance transfers and money transfers for 19 months from account opening (when made within the first 60 days, subject to a 2.5 per cent handling fee).
The MBNA Platinum Balance Transfer credit card has a representative rate of 16.7 per cent APRvariable.
Ian O'Doherty, Europe Card executive for Bank of America Europe Card Services, which operates the MBNA brand, said: "The length of the offer is not the only element of a deal UK consumers should consider when opting for a new balance transfer credit card. Plus, this card enables customers to transfer, for a low fee, money into their current accounts to enable them to pay off or save money on other higher interest bearing debts they may have.
"Although this is our longest ever balance transfer offer, by reducing the handling fee for balance and money transfers, we have demonstrated, once again, our commitment to delivering leading products to our customers."
The balance transfer credit card is contactless-enabled (click here for details).
This latest product announcement follows the launch, in March this year, of MBNA's first cash back credit cards in the UK; enabling customers to earn an unlimited amount of cash back for their card purchases.
