-- Strategic new hire to build market leading non-life consulting team in Dublin
SEATTLE, April 3, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Milliman, a leading global consulting and actuarial firm, today announced the hiring of a senior insurance consultant, Ger Bradley, to lead the expansion of the firm's non-life consulting activity in Ireland. Mr. Bradley will serve the needs of the non-life insurance sector based in Ireland from Milliman's Dublin office.
"Over the last 20 years our Irish office has built up unrivalled experience in the life insurance and reinsurance market. To achieve similar success in the non-life market we needed to find someone with the right mix of experience, technical expertise and business acumen to lead our expansion in this area. We are delighted that, in Ger, we have found just that person," said Dermot Corry, Milliman's Irish practice leader.
"With Ger taking a leadership role within our existing team, Milliman is well positioned to substantially grow its non-life actuarial consulting and product offerings to both regional and multinational insurers in Ireland," added Bob Meyer, Milliman's Property & Casualty Practice Director.
Ger has almost 25 years of experience in non-life insurance. For the past three years, he has been the director responsible for the Solvency II programme for Royal & Sun Alliance ("RSA") in Ireland. In addition, he was Underwriting Director for RSA Reinsurance Ireland and Director of Actuarial and Pricing for RSA Insurance Ireland. He is currently chair of the general insurance committee and a council member of the Society of Actuaries in Ireland. Ger is a frequent presenter at industry seminars in Ireland and the UK.
Ger will lead the development of the Irish non-life team from his base in Dublin which will complement the successful build-up of Milliman's existing life insurance team in Ireland. The primary consulting services performed by the Milliman non-life insurance team in Dublin will include reserve reviews using Milliman's market leading ReservePro platform, predictive analytics through the use of EagleEye Analytic's Talon platform to help deliver profitable growth through portfolio remediation, Solvency II reviews, with special focus on Board and senior management training, and mergers & acquisitions advice.
