MiX Telematics to Showcase Latest Innovations at the IAA in Hannover
CAPE TOWN, South Africa and HANNOVER, Germany, September 16, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --
For the fourth time running, MiX Telematics is participating in the renowned IAA Commercial Vehicles Show, being held in Hannover, Germany, from 25 September to 2 October 2014. The global provider of fleet and mobile asset management solutions will use the opportunity to launch and demo their latest telematics innovations. MiX Telematics is exhibiting in hall 11, stand B08, and will be holding a press briefing at their stand on 24 September.
"Focus areas at this year's IAA are telematics and connectivity. This comes as no surprise considering that operators are increasingly reliant on proven systems that boost efficiency and safety levels," says Charles Tasker, Chief Operating Officer at MiX Telematics.
"As a business, we remain mindful of this fact - and committed to continue partnering with fleet owners in Europe and around the world to help them achieve significant benefits that are sustainable such as increased efficiency, reduced risks and safer operations."
Innovations to be launched and previewed at the MiX Telematics stand include the latest version of the video recording system MiX Vision; a new, rugged in-cab MiX Rovi display as well as an Hours of Service (HOS) and remote tachograph data download solution for Europe. In addition, the company will be previewing MiX Go, a flexible field services app designed to help just about any business become more efficient.
MiX Telematics's HOS and remote tachograph data download solution is a comprehensive electronic toolkit, which enables the efficient monitoring of drivers' working hours in real-time and the automatic calculation of remaining driving times according to European law. The solution is built on MiX Telematics's new software platform and provides a fully integrated driving hours and fleet management solution.
MiX Vision has been enhanced to incorporate audio and infrared. More information and higher quality footage mean fleet managers can make more informed decisions around incidents that involve their drivers. MiX Vision videos can now also be viewed alongside a timeline within MiX Fleet Manager, adding a richer context to incident scenarios for fleet owners.
The latest addition to the MiX Rovi family is a rugged in-cab terminal that is designed specifically for demanding working environments. It comes with proven features like jobs and messaging, navigation and driver feedback. The intuitive in-cab display features a seven-inch colour touch screen and runs the Android operating system.
Also on display at the show will be MiX Go, an Android-based field services app offering real-time workflow management not only for fleet owners but all businesses with a mobile workforce. "Keeping tabs on business-critical factors like deliveries, completed jobs, customer satisfaction and pre- and post-trip inspections is highly valuable for any business owner in today's fast-paced and competitive climate. MiX Go is our response to this reality," says Tasker.
"We're really looking forward to demonstrating our latest technology and seeing how the market responds. The IAA is a great opportunity for us to showcase these innovations with like-minded businesses and operators that shape the industry," concludes Tasker.
