South Village Warriors, representing Camp BACS, won MoneyGram's cricket tournament
RIYADH, Saudi Arabia, June 13, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The Grand Finals of MoneyGram Cricket Ke Badshah 2016 tournament concluded the exciting four-week competition during last weekend at the Al Seif Camp Cricket Ground. The legendary Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan attended the Finals weekend to watch how top 4 teams from Camps of BACS, Saudi Odger and Al Seif fight it out for Champions' title.

Irfan Pathan, as an ambassador of MoneyGram's tournament, thrilled the players and crowds with his presence throughout the Finals. In the Semi-Finals, we saw South Village Warriors from BACS Camp easily defeating the BACS XI. The other Semi-Final saw a tight match with the home team from Al Seif taking on the Saudi Odger side of Celicon XI. In the most exciting game to date in the competition it came down to the last ball with Saudi Odger having to score 4 runs to win and they duly hit a huge six to take them into the Finals.
The Grand Final saw South Village Warriors defeating Celicon XI to be crowned as the Champions of the Labour Camps. In a tight and competitive final it was South Village Warriors who set a daunting target of 119 runs for Celicon who could only get 84 runs as the South Village Warriors bowled extremely tightly throughout. "We are so proud to be Champions of the first edition of MoneyGram Cricket Ke Badshah and we are grateful to MoneyGram for bringing such a great tournament to our camps. It was a fierce competition and we had earned it to name ourselves the Champion team of the Labour Camps of Riyadh. It was an honor to receive the trophy from Irfan Pathan, and we look forward to defending our title next year," said Captain of the winning team, Pankaj P. Gawande.
