In an effort to drive the innovation landscape in India, NASSCOM today announced the winners of the Innovation Awards 2012. The final 4 winners were felicitated by Honorable Minister of State for Commerce & Industry, Jyotiraditya Madhavrao Scindia, for their outstanding contribution to the Indian IT-BPO sector at the NASSCOM India Leadership Forum 2012. Now in its 8th year, the awards recognize organizations that have made innovation a part of their DNA resulting in extraordinary and pioneering products and services.
Congratulating the Innovation Awards winners, Mr. Som Mittal, President, NASSCOM, said, "NASSCOM Innovation Awards are aimed to promote innovation within Indian IT-BPO organizations, especially the energetic and proactive emerging companies. This year saw the addition of one new special category- 'Social Innovation: Market Facing'. The winners were selected after a rigorous process by an esteemed panel of judges comprising of industry luminaries, academicians and analysts and were chosen across diverse verticals including Telecom, Manufacturing, BSFI, healthcare, utilities etc.
The entries were shortlisted on the basis of the innovation of technology, scalability of the model and number of patents filed by the applicant company.
