Open to organisations of all sizes and all sectors across the UK, the National Business Awards recognises enterprise excellence, innovation and ethics. Now in its thirteenth year, the National Business Awards will celebrate a range of achievements through accolades including the Inflexion International Growth Business of the Year, the ICAEW Sustainable Business Award, the Social Enterprise of the Year and the Santander Small to Medium Sized Business of the Year.
The National Business Awards have distinguished themselves by the quality of businesses taking part, the robust judging process, and an esteemed panel led by Dame Helen Alexander as Chair of Judges. Nearly 100 multi disciplinary CEOs and senior directors participate as judges, bringing their expertise and insight to the three-tier judging process.
2013 winners ranged from Sainsbury's who were named the QBE FTSE 100 Business of the Year, The Beans Group who won Digital Business of the Year, the Wates Group who won the inaugural Corporate Citizenship Award and David Spencer-Percival who was named the Smith & Williamson Entrepreneur of the Year.
David Spencer-Percival said: "Entering the National Business Awards and gaining this recognition has really boosted the profile of the business and been fantastic for me personally. Out of all the business awards out there, this really is the one to win - it's the most prestigious, with government backing and some very high profile people and organisations involved."
Alex Evans, Programme Director of the National Business Awards said: "With such a diverse range of organisations shortlisted each year, from impactful social enterprises to FTSE 100 giants, it will be fascinating to see how they are setting themselves apart in their respective industries. Feedback from past winners and finalists shows that the entry process is a great way to reflect on success while recognising who and what drove it. Every entrant receives guaranteed feedback with a tailored Benchmark Report and those who make it through to live presentations benefit from feedback from a panel of up to five judges."
