New Study: The use of Thymus Peptides Against Hair Loss
EISENBERG, Germany, December 17, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --
A new study that was recently published in the renowned Journal of Plastic Dermatology confirms once again the therapeutic efficiency of thymus peptides against hair loss. Telogen effluvium (TE) and androgenetic alopecia (AGA) are the main causes of hair loss. Investigations to date found a proven clinical effect [1-2] with synthetic thymus peptides in both AGA and chronic TE.
Study design and result
The objective of the investigation is to test the effectiveness and cosmetic acceptance of thymus peptides with a low molecular weight (GKL factor) in the first phases of AGA and in TE over six months. A thymus peptide serum and a shampoo based on synthetic thymus peptides were used (Timosint(R)/Thymuskin(R)/http://www.thymuskin.de).
The study was carried out with 366 patients (m/f) with chronic TE and first AGA stages.
Summary
The product used in the study achieved good clinical reaction with a slowing of hair loss and stimulation of hair growth. At 98% of all 364 pull-test persons a decrease in hair loss could be observed. The treatment was also able to improve typical symptoms that often accompany these forms of illness, such as erythemes, itching and seborrhoea. Positive cosmetic acceptance / tolerance was recorded in 98% of the cases.
