Nonin Medical Launches Onyx® Vantage 9590 Professional Finger Pulse Oximeter at ERS Annual Congress
MINNEAPOLIS, September 26, 2011 /PRNewswire/ --
Nonin Medical, Inc., the inventor of finger pulse oximetry and a leader in noninvasive medical monitoring, today announced the launch of the Onyx® Vantage 9590 professional finger pulse oximeter at the European Respiratory Society (ERS) 2011 Annual Congress in The Netherlands. The Onyx® Vantage accurately captures SpO2 and pulse rate measurements and provides clinically proven accuracy in the presence of motion, dark skin pigmentation and low perfusion. Featuring 6,000 spot checks, it can be used on all digits, making it the most versatile and reliable finger pulse oximeter for clinicians.
"Every day, Nonin strives to bring the best monitoring solutions to clinicians who manage a broad range of patients. We are committed to developing innovative solutions that provide accurate and reliable SpO2 and pulse rate measurements that clinicians can act on to improve patient outcomes," said Kevin McGowan, vice president of global sales at Nonin Medical. "Onyx Vantage realizes this goal by not only offering clinicians proven accuracy in the widest range of patients, but also by providing the flexibility to take the same measurements on thumbs and toes, when needed, and in the presence of motion."
The new Onyx® Vantage finger pulse oximeter is engineered with Nonin Medical's clinically proven PureSAT™ pulse oximetry technology - the same accurate technology used in Nonin's full line of oximeters. These products and technologies will be on display at Nonin Medical's booth #D.10 during ERS at the RAI Exhibition and Congress Centre in Amsterdam, from Sunday, 25 September, to Tuesday, 27 September, 9.00 to 17.00, and Wednesday, 28 September, 9.00 to 12.00.
