Northrop Grumman Appoints Danny Milligan Chief Executive for Information Systems Business in Europe

Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE: NOC) has announced the appointment of Danny Milligan as chief executive of its U.K.-based Information Systems Europe business. In this role he will focus on the strategic direction of Northrop Grumman's activities in both the defence and civil information technology, C4ISR, cyber security and counter-IED markets in the U.K., mainland Europe and its export markets.
He succeeds Sir Nigel Essenhigh in his role as chief executive for Northrop Grumman Information Systems Europe, who left the company at the end of 2011.

As chief executive he will be responsible for helping the company's Information Systems sector achieve its European business objectives including providing strategic guidance for current programmes, encouraging growth and the development of new business opportunities.

Danny Milligan joins Northrop Grumman after a 14-year career with General Dynamics UK (GDUK) where most recently he served as vice-president, Mission and Security Systems and was a member of GDUK's executive board.
