Standard bearers for medical excellence in Europe, AP-HP and RESAH-IDF are internationally recognized for their commitment to patient medication safety. AP-HP is the largest university hospital system in Europe, serving the city of Paris and its suburbs. It employs more than 90,000 people (including 22,000 physicians) in 44 hospitals and receives more than 7 million annual patient visits. RESAH-IDF is a group purchasing organization in the Ile de France region that has more than 120 members responsible for more than 42,000 hospital beds.
"EURAF is delighted by this agreement with AP-HP and RESAH-IDF," said Jean-Baptiste Guillot, general manager at EURAF. "Today, AP-HP and RESAH-IDF member hospitals reinforced their reputation as one of the most prestigious healthcare delivery systems in Europe. Their commitment to patient safety is reflected in their selection of Omnicell's advanced G4 medication automation technology which ensures the right medication is securely delivered to the right patient at the right moment."
The landmark AP-HP and RESAH-IDF agreement is a reflection of the strength of Omnicell's technology and low cost of ownership, as well as EURAF's strong reputation as a French leader in customer service. AP-HP and RESAH-IDF reported that their purchasing decisions were strongly influenced by Omnicell's flexible OmniRx G4 automated medication dispensing cabinets (ADCs), which can be configured to meet the diverse medication and security needs of any patient care setting. In addition to this flexibility, Omnicell's ADCs are modular and easily upgraded to keep the cost of investment low.
"Omnicell and EURAF are long time partners whose joint efforts with AP-HP and RESAH-IDF will help to ensure safer delivery of medical care in France," said Don Ferren, director of International Sales at Omnicell. "EURAF is trusted by hospitals and healthcare organizations throughout France as the best in customer support.
