One Tree Hill Star, Tyler Hilton, Releases New Album, TV Single, and Embarks on U.K. Tour

LOS ANGELES, June 12, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- As the hit American television series, One Tree Hill, comes to an end after nine captivating seasons, Tyler Hilton, who plays musician 'Chris Keller' on the show, is taking the summer to focus on his music career, including a new record and a tour throughout the United Kingdom with Boyce Avenue.

Hilton's new full-length album, FORGET THE STORM, was recorded in Los Angeles with producer David Hodges (Christina Perri, Kelly Clarkson), and is available on iTunes now. The album includes the hook driven ballad "Prince of Nothing Charming," and the blues-inspired "Loaded Gun" (as seen performed on the Series Finale of One Tree Hill).  This marks Hilton's first independent release since cutting ties with his major label, and as a result, he says this album is his most authentic piece of work to date.

"The songs and sounds of FORGET THE STORM came together as a reaction to the major label system and the heartbreak it kept putting me through," said Hilton.  "I left it all behind, started my own label.  Without all of the rules and red tape, I found it easier to write honest rock 'n' roll that is closer to who I am, and based on the reaction from my fans, it's exactly what they've been waiting for."

In celebration of the recent Series Finale of "One Tree Hill" in the U.K., Hilton will release a new TV-version of his song, "Kicking My Heels," which was recorded live on the set. ABOUT TYLER HILTON
A native of sunny Palm Springs, CA, Tyler Hilton is a musician, songwriter and actor.  Hilton released THE TRACKS OF TYLER HILTON in 2004, the album included the top 40 singles "When It Comes" and "How Love Should Be."
