Opsview Gets Tough with Addition of Security Wallet in Latest Software Release
READING, England, November 24, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --
Opsview 4.6 includes password and data encryption for secure environments
Opsview, the leading unified services monitoring vendor, today announced the release of Opsview version 4.6 featuring Security Wallet, integration with VictorOps, sFlow monitoring and a much improved installation process.
In response to demand from customers requiring highly secure monitoring and PCI compliance, Opsview have introduced Security Wallet as standard to encrypt all passwords and sensitive data used within the monitored IT estate.
Users of Opsview's Network Analyzer module will now benefit from sFlow support allowing traffic analysis for networking devices including HP, CISCO, IBM, Dell and Juniper. This is in addition to support already provided for NetFlow Traffic analysis in the Network Analyzer Module.
Building on Opsview's strong integration with IT tools, Opsview 4.6 now dovetails with VictorOps to allow efficient management of monitoring alerts. IT teams are often swamped with irrelevant alerts form monitoring systems, distracting them from the thankless tasks of responding to real issues. With VictorOps and Opsview users will only get the alerts they need when they need them, allowing faster response to the issues that matter.
Opsview's much improved installation process cuts down the time-to-value from a few hours to under 5 minutes, and just 10 key presses - saving IT teams precious time on getting Opsview up and running.
According to Sam Marsh, Opsview's Product Manager: "We've really toughened up Opsview by adding Security Wallet to Opsview 4.6 - it's a big win for a customers who needed to run monitoring in highly secure environments. And with our sped-up installation process, customers will be able to get Opsview running faster than ever before.
Commenting on Opsview 4.6's enhanced monitoring features, Ton Voon, Chief Architect added: "With sFlow support in the Network Analyzer, customers now have detailed performance information for a broad range of network technologies from all the major manufacturers - giving even deeper insight to how the network is performing and where bottlenecks might occur".
