The revolutionary lens, which can provide independence from glasses - including reading glasses, was introduced at Optimax clinics in 2014, after Medical Director Mr Amir Hamid was granted early permission to use the implant.
Since then, Optimax has performed more Symfony implants than any other provider in Europe.
Mr Hamid said; 'The Symfony lens can provide a continuous range of high-quality vision, from near to far. The effect can be likened to the 'zoom lens' of a camera. Results have been excellent, with patients reporting high levels of independence from glasses, and dramatic improvements to their quality of life'.
This year, the Optimax Medical Director was granted early permission to implant the Alcon Acrisoft Trifocal lens ahead of its official launch.
Optimax is the UK's longest established vision correction specialist, with clinics nationwide. Its range of procedures can treat short sight, long sight and astigmatism. Established in 1991, Optimax has experience drawn from more than 380,000 treatments. Its insistence on highly advanced laser and lens technology means that even more people can see life more clearly.
