LONDON, October 8, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --
This month, senior medical staff at Optimax presented at the bi-annual ESCRS conference, which convenes to examine the latest techniques and developments in eye surgery.
The event was held at London Excel Arena, attracting 7,000 European delegates including leading Cataract and Refractive surgeons.
Dr Sajjad Mughal, a highly experienced refractive surgeon, addressed the conference to share patient results for a new technique introduced at Optimax clinics.
TESA (Trans Epithelial Surface Ablation) is a procedure made possible with the advanced Schwind laser technology, introduced recently at Optimax clinics. It can help those who may be at risk of impact to the eye in active sports and occupations, while offering a more rapid recovery than LASEK, which is usually recommended in such cases.
"This conference was the perfect opportunity for us to share our outcomes with the ophthalmic community. Our patient results with the new Schwind technology are outstanding," said Dr Amir Hamid, Medical Director at Optimax.
