Tula region is the largest supplier of starch in domestic production. The share of Tula region in the production of starch during the years 2009, 2010 were 26% and 29% respectively. For the year 2011 it provided one fourth of the total domestic starch production in Russia. It should be noted that Tula region use wheat as a raw material in the manufacturing of the starch.
