EIT Digital has announced the winners of its 2015 Idea Challenge - a competition to find the most innovative digital start-ups from across Europe. Winners have been selected in eight categories after pitching to expert judges at final events held in cities across Europe. Successful start-ups have been chosen from over 450 entries from 26 countries and will receive prize packages including a cash prize up to €40,000, mentoring support, workspace, and access to buyer networks across the EU and beyond. French entries won more awards than any other country, followed by Estonia.

Winning products include a medical device which enables skin diagnostics without invasive tissue samples (DAMAE Medical, France), a management and billing platform to easily operate a charging infrastructure for electric vehicles (has.to.be, Austria), and a mobile security device helping internet users to protect their online data (Digiflak OU, Estonia). Winners will become part of EIT Digital's unique ecosystem, an international innovation network including global companies, world-leading universities, research institutes, and cutting-edge innovators.
