Pay your SportScheck invoices in a flash with the Yapital QR Code
LUXEMBOURG, December 12, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --
SportScheck is the first retailer to introduce the innovative cross-channel payment option / Just scan the QR code and the payment is made
Most Germans prefer to pay on account when shopping on the internet. No wonder - paying on account has many advantages. However, paying the amount quickly and simply has not been one of the advantages so far. Things are different with SportScheck and that's with immediate effect: the retailer is the first company to offer its customers the option of paying for their catalogue or online orders more easily and faster than ever before - just by scanning the Yapital QR code printed on the invoice with their smartphone. An additional click on "confirm" and everything is done, without any online banking or heading off to the bank.
Yapital has been available as a payment method in the online shop since the middle of July. There, customers can also pay by scanning a QR code - or alternatively by entering their Yapital credentials at the online checkout. By having the QR code on the invoice, the multi-channel retailer is using yet another particularly trendsetting feature of the innovative payment method. That's because if you pay your invoice by scanning the QR code, you don't have to bother entering the lengthy IBAN numbers that are replacing the conventional account numbers with the introduction of SEPA.
"Paying by scanning the QR code is one of the most exciting features of our new cross-channel payment option because it meets the consumer's need for a fast and simple purchasing process online as well as offline," says Nils Winkler, Chairman of the Board of Yapital. "Consumers always have their smartphones ready and paying with this method is unbelievably easy and convenient." It can be used in-store, at the online checkout and for payments on account. Retailers also benefit: The money is paid into their accounts faster, that's to say in real time."
Stefan Herzog, spokesman for the SportScheck Board, is looking forward to the new option for making payments on account: "We are striving to offer our customers the best possible service across all channels. The introduction of the Yapital QR code on our invoices makes shopping even easier. Moreover, we are strengthening SportScheck's pioneering role as Germany's leading multi-channel sports retailer."
