Survey participants indicated that the top three multimedia sources were Google (96%), AFP Forum (60%) and PR Newswire for Journalists (51%), while over a quarter of participants revealed they subscribed to PR Newswire's free customisable newsfeed service and multimedia archive.
The results also showed an overwhelming reliance on press releases and online resources for finding inspiration for articles, with the top three sources listed as websites (87%), search engines (86%) and press releases (82%).
