Dassault launches high-tech cabin, TagLikeMe downloads swell and KIA wins mobile "Triple Crown"
Dassault Falcon, a leading international provider of private business jets, has announced the launch of its new "FalconCabin HD+" cabin, bringing its existing private jets firmly into the 21st century. The new cabins have been altered to feature the latest advances in technology and provide an unrivalled passenger experience, including an advanced cabin-based wireless network, access to 1TB of pre-selected iTunes music and the option to view HD movies on demand.
Passengers will also be able to track the progress of the flight from their seats, using one of the built-in iPad systems, allowing them to call up instant and real time map information. This new innovation will be fitted as standard to future Falcon models, with company Vice President Eric Monsel enthusing over the upgraded jets' ability to offer "the same flexibility passengers might find in their own home".
TagLikeMe, a start-up social networking company, has begun to witness tremendous success with its first App Store application, with download numbers increasing on a regular basis in line with its high customer satisfaction rates.
The app, which allows users to search across all media content from within one single platform, has been embraced by users, who are consistently giving it a five-star rating, much to the delight of CEO Richard Elliot-Square.
Speaking to the media, the CEO acknowledged that users of the app are seeing the "real potential" for its capabilities, which include the ability to search simultaneously across multiple search engines and social networks. The company is now expected to build on its success by releasing an Android version of the app.
Car manufacturing giant KIA has received significant industry praise this week, after securing its third award of the year for best mobile website. KIA first launched its mobile site in 2011 in response to growing customer demand for a comprehensive car buying companion, and has since gone on to secure three "Best Mobile Website" awards in the past 12 months, giving it the figurative "triple crown" in the mobile world.
The site allows smartphone owners to bring up detailed information on their selected vehicle, making it easy for them to compare and contrast models in order to make an informed buying decision.
