Amazon partners with Stitch Labs, VSCHOOLZ announces Jamaican partnership and Océ demonstrates mobile printing app
Amazon has embarked on a new partnership with US-based Stitch Labs, a company specialising in the development of fully integrated business management suites for physical and digital retailers.
The new partnership will see Amazon's legions of private sellers given access to Stitch technology, allowing them to connect all of their online and offline business affairs with their Amazon account in a revolutionary manner.
Stitch Labs' software suite includes powerful inventory management tools, as well as an all-in-one order management system designed to work across multiple platforms - users will be able to manage orders from all physical and digital outlets from one easy-to-use application. This way, one inventory list can be distributed to all outlets with ease, allowing shop owners to keep track of sales and monitor stock without looking at each individual storefront.
VSCHOOLZ, an innovative provider of state of the art e-learning software, has announced a new partnership with the Jamaica based CaribbeaniSchool, a unique educational establishment created to provide Caribbean citizens with easy access to education.
The school is the first of its kind in Jamaica, having been founded by the legendary Nelson Christian Stokes, the inspiration behind the smash-hit Disney film Cool Runnings. With its mission statement of "iTeach, iLearn, iAm", the school aims to provide an e-learning experience to its students like no other, and the partnership with VSCHOOLZ is designed to help it achieve that goal.
Under the new agreement, VSCHOOLZ will help the school to develop its existing program by providing crucial support with its technology infrastructure, as well as connecting the school to some of the world's best curriculum providers.
Océ, the document management subsidiary of market leading consumer electronics company Canon Group, has demonstrated its new mobile printing application to attendees at the Las Vegas Autodesk University 2012 expo.
The app will be available on the Apple iPad over the coming weeks, and will allow users to print documents directly from their mobile device, without the need to install drivers. Users will also be able to receive copies of scanned documents using an Océ printer directly to the iPad in PDF format, whilst a further copy is also stored in the cloud, allowing users to access it again at any time. The release date is yet to be announced.
