xDev Launches Innovative iPhone case, Eyepartner Launches HD Wave and LivePerson Expands Asia Pacific Offering
xDev inc, a US start-up specialising in mobile lifestyle products, has announced the launch of its iXtreme iPhone case, a product that has been made possible by crowd-funding website Kickstarter.
The iXtreme case turns a user's iPhone into a high-functioning camcorder, a point-of-view still image camera and even a steering wheel for games consoles, all using a number of attachable parts that make this product one of the most flexible cases on the market. Using durable materials and a shock-isolating inner liner, the case is also celebrated for its protective qualities, with users' phones safeguarded from reasonable drops and knocks.
The case will be sold separately from its attachable parts, which will all go on sale exclusively in the US from March 2013. Those who donated money to its development via Kickstarter are set to receive a 50% discount on all iXtreme products and accessories.
Eyepartner, a global software development company, has released its new HD Wave Desk Share software this week, giving users the ability to instantly share their desktop with others in high definition over the internet.
HD Wave is set to revolutionise the virtual meeting market, with users able to share PowerPoint presentations, Word documents, media content and web pages with an unlimited amount of users in HD format, whilst also allowing participants to record their sessions for later playback.
The Eyepartner management team is also looking to target the lucrative broadcasting market, with the HD Wave software enabling these organisations to transmit their content to millions of viewers for a relatively low cost. Live streaming of desktop content has been identified as a particularly attractive feature, with the software capable of integration with existing online television networks.
LivePerson, a NASDAQ listed provider of cloud based business solutions, has announced its impending acquisition of Australian rival ENGAGE Pty, allowing it to expand its presence in the strategically important Asia Pacific market.
The acquisition of ENGAGE will allow LivePerson to increase its expertise in the cloud based live chat, SMS and social media markets, making it a major global player in the cloud solution industry. According to LivePerson CEO Robert LoCascio, the new deal will enhance the company's ability to "offer intelligent engagement solutions to businesses in the Asia Pacific region". The tie-up is set to complete in the fourth quarter of 2012.
