- EVO acquires PowerPay, eSoft launches new security software and SAIC scores major contract
EVO Payments International, one of the largest digital payments processors in the world, has recently acquired rival digital point of sale provider PowerPay, creating a payments giant worth in excess of $31billion.
This acquisition follows swiftly from the company's recent purchase of Deutsche Bank's Deutsch Card Services, which had already expanded EVO's reach in the European market. PowerPay's innovative E-commerce point of sale systems will be instantly integrated into EVO's payment processing offering, allowing it to provide an all in one, seamless digital payment system to its existing and future clients.
According to EVO President Jeff Rosenblatt, "our acquisition of PowerPay and its leading E-commerce platform represents the next step...to become a significant leader in the electronic payments sector". The transaction also gives EVO an additional 55,000 merchant customers, as well as access to over 15,000 client relationships that PowerPay has built over the years.
eSoft, an innovative provider of business focussed network security systems, has announced the launch of its new Global Management Console, giving existing clients the ability to manage, update and control all of their existing eSoft security products from one place.
The new web interface can be easily installed into a company's existing eSoft system, which has already built a reputation for itself as an intuitive and cost saving digital security method. The console has been designed to fit in with both its Firewall/VPN systems, as well as its Content Security option, providing a universal application for all business users.
The new product has been made instantly available, and has launched with a variable pricing structure, depending on the client's existing eSoft relationship. According to eSoft CEO Bud Michael, the new system will allow clients to "spend less time worrying about network security and have more time to focus on their business.
Science Applications International Corp (SAIC), an experienced provider of military grade technology solutions, has been awarded a lucrative service contract by the US Air Force Research Lab.
The $74 million contract will see SAIC take control of the US Air Force Lab's servers located outside of the USA over the next 12 months, whilst also providing operations and maintenance support whilst the existing Blue Devil services switch from a trial to fully operational stage. In addition to server support, SAIC will also be involved in the deployment of military vehicles with "advanced multi-intelligent" equipment, as well as dealing with airfield and flight operations.
