The event took place in the hall of the City of London Wax Chandlers livery company. It is a site they have owned for more than 500 years and guests were greeted by the company beadle, who gave an interesting overview of the history of the Wax Chandlers.
There was an animated Q&A session after Oliver's presentation which was followed by drinks, canapés and a chance for guests to chat informally to Oliver and each other.
The goal of Meet the Media is to enable communications professionals to hear from leading media organisations on how their respective companies work, providing insight into their specialist areas, giving advice on achieving coverage and informing them on effective targeting of journalists within their sector and how to build a mutually beneficial relationship.
There will be a series of Meet the Media events held throughout 2012 in London, Paris, Madrid and other European destinations, details of which will be announced soon.
