Predator Nutrition Tackles Africa in Charity Football Tournament
BRADFORD, England, January 5, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --
Predator Nutrition, one of the UK's leading providers of training supplements like fat burners and creatine, raised £762 and invaluable awareness for HIV education organisation, Tackle Africa, with a charity football tournament in Leeds in December.
The sports supplements provider pulled together two groups of four five-a-side teams, made up of business partners and close friends and family of Predator Nutrition supplements company, to compete for the tournament title. The result, as it turned out, was a hotly contested affair that went down to the wire.
The eight teams, namely, 26, Branded3, Prodigious Accident Management, Predator A, Predator B, Champagne Direct, Sunny's Delights and the Yorkshire Lions, set Soccer City alight as they battled it out for the title. A hard-fought competition finally culminated in a dramatic penalty shootout win for Yorkshire Lions, who had reached the final after beating Predator A in the semi-final. Predator B went on to win the Plate Final on an altogether thrilling day for charity.
All of the teams involved managed to raise a collective £762 for Tackle Africa on Predator Nutrition's Just Giving page, which will all go towards bringing HIV education to young people across Africa through the universal language of football. Tackle Africa endeavours to eradicate the risk of HIV and AIDS to those at most risk in Africa by raising awareness and understanding across the continent.
Predator Nutrition is a sports supplement retailer and wholesaler based in Leeds in West Yorkshire. The company is fronted by ex-Great Britain American Football international, Reggie Johal, and has become one of the UK's leading supplements providers just three years after it was founded in 2008.
Both organisations would like to thank all those who played a part in raising the cash for the charity in a wholly successful afternoon.
