Quintiq, a global leader in supply chain planning and optimization (SCP&O) software, announced today the launch of its newest business unit in Finland (BUFI). BUFI is devoted solely to addressing the immense SCP&O market potential of Finland, Sweden and the Baltic States.
With strong credentials in the areas of metals, manufacturing, workforce planning and logistics, the BUFI team is now in place to support customers and meet the high demand of the market with Quintiq's industry-leading SCP&O solutions. Quintiq's target industries in the Finnish region include pulp and paper, metal processing, mining, logistics, and others.
Quintiq announced that Olli Kämäräinen and Markus Malinen will lead the new unit. Olli Kämäräinen has 15 years of business consultancy, management and academic expertise in optimization algorithms. Markus Malinen has 20 years of logistics, ICT, sales and R&D management expertise in the steel industry. Together the pair will oversee the new Quintiq entity, based out of Vantaa, as co-Business Unit Directors.
