Raw Material, the music and media charity based in Brixton, will be presenting 'Songs from Chaos' for their Raw Roads Australia Tour, September 11-30. 'Songs from Chaos' is a cultural arts project conducted in tandem with Macdonnell Shire youth development.

The project will be taking place in Alice Springs at the Desert Festival, with local youth projects, with the Bush Bands Bash and Desert Divas, and in Ntaria, a remote community west of Alice Springs. It is also being supported by the AAACE (Australasian Association of Arts and Cultural Education Inc) and Macdonnell Shire.
Raw Material will be running music and digital media workshops, live music sessions and events with local indigenous musicians and artists in remote communities in the Western desert. They are sending a team of four young artists, two young singer songwriters and rappers, visual artist Barka, drummer Michele Strocchi from Only Joe, plus members of Raw Material's in-house band: FLOetic Lara, Tagz Chambers and electronic composer and DJ, Wu-Lu.
