RETRACTION of Health Robotics' September 9, 2013 Press Release Claiming Savings vs. PharMEDium
BOZEN, Sud-Tirol, Italy, June 28, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --
On September 9, 2013, Health Robotics, S.r.l. issued a press release, entitled "Health Robotics' Releases i.v.STATION's 63% Annual Savings vs. PharMedium, or a 5-Month ROI on Just 4 APIs," which reported annual savings attributable to the use of one its products as opposed to using the sterile compounding services offered by PharMEDium Healthcare Corporation. The press release purports to release cost savings allegedly experienced by Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids.
Portions of the data reported in the press release regarding the purported costs of PharMEDium services, the types of sterile compounds provided by PharMEDium to Mercy Medical Center, and the claimed savings experienced by Mercy by using Health Robotics' i.v.STATION as opposed to PharMEDium's sterile compounding services are inaccurate. Part of the inaccuracies reported by Health Robotics, S.r.l. were based on unverified and/or inaccurate information received by Health Robotics, S.r.l., and Health Robotics, S.r.l. has no way of verifying the accuracy or methodology of any cost savings allegedly experienced by Mercy. Consequently, Health Robotics, S.r.l. retracts the September 9, 2013 press release in its entirety.
