Revealed: Latin America's Best Universities

The annual QS University Rankings: Latin America, featuring an enhanced methodology have been released on http://www.Topuniversities.com by global higher education analysts QS Quacquarelli Symonds, shining a spotlight on the region's 300 finest universities.

Brazil's best universities remain the benchmark for the entire region, taking two of the top-three spots. Ecuador and Argentina make noteworthy progress, while Peru and Panama struggle.

• Universities from twenty different countries;
• The most-featured nation is Brazil, with 76 featured institutions. Mexico comes second in the region with 45, while Colombia out-performs Argentina and Chile, with 41 featured institutions.
• Chile, Mexico, and Colombia all see two universities in the regional top 10;
• 19 of 34 Argentinean universities rise up the rankings;
