- PROGRAM DATE AND VENUE ANNOUNCED FOR AWARDS CEREMONY

BRUSSELS, May 18, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- RISI, the leading information provider for the global forest products industry, today announced the launch of the PPI Awards 2012 program. This year, the Awards will again honor leadership, vision, innovation and strategic accomplishments of companies, mills and individuals within the pulp and paper industry. These are the only global awards dedicated to recognizing these achievements in the pulp and paper sector.

Potential candidates can easily enter for the awards online at www.ppiawards.com and must submit entries before Friday, July 13th, 2012. The winners will be presented with their trophies at the PPI Awards 2012 ceremony to be held on Monday, November 12, 2012 at Le Plaza Hotel in Brussels, Belgium.

A panel of expert independent judges will select the finalists in each category. Fourteen awards will cover a variety of business and technical categories:
