Rivel Research Group Brings Intelligence Council to the United Kingdom
LONDON, April 18, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --
Rivel Research Group announced today it will launch the Intelligence Council in the United Kingdom beginning April 2013. Since its inception in 2009, Rivel's Intelligence Council has been the only programme of its kind to involve the perspective of the buy-side in the discussion of what is best-in-class investor relations. While the Intelligence Council was formed with a focus solely on the United States buy-side community, Rivel has since introduced a global perspective to the programme by incorporating the buy-sides of the United Kingdom, Continental Europe, Canada, Asia and Australia, giving its members a more balanced, international view on investor relations best practices.
As part of the launch strategy, Rivel Research Group has entered into a partnership with the Investor Relations Society (IR Society) to offer the Society's corporate members the opportunity to join the Intelligence Council at a discounted rate.
John Gollifer, General Manager of the IR Society said: "As a Society we are constantly seeking ways to increase the value of being an IR Society member and we believe that this partnership with Rivel Research Group will be a fantastic addition to our corporate membership packages. As champions of best practice IR we feel that access to research which helps IROs better understand the needs of their investors leads to better dialogue between the companies and their markets. We are delighted to be able to offer discounted membership of Rivel's Intelligence Council to our members and we look forward to working with them in the year ahead."
IR professionals who join the Intelligence Council will have access to a robust assembly of features and research products, including ongoing best practice reports. Over the course of one year, the Intelligence Council membership selects 12 pertinent topics on which Rivel conducts comprehensive research among a representative sample of the global buy-side (US, Canada, Europe, Asia and Australia). In addition to these best practice reports, members of the Intelligence Council receive Rivel's Perspectives series, which uncovers on a quarterly basis how buy-side audiences make decisions and what their expectations are for the public markets going forward.
"With the addition of the major markets around the globe, the Intelligence Council is a programme for all IR executives as it offers strategic insight into the expectations of the international investor community," said Rivel Research Group President Brian Rivel. "Now that the programme is gaining traction in Europe, IR professionals located here have access to an extensive knowledge base while they align their investor relations strategy with what their main constituency (and their peers) considers best practices. Seeing as one of the main tenets of IR Society's mission is to promote best practice in investor relations, our Intelligence Council is a natural fit."
In addition to buy-side research, Rivel will be introducing best practices from the perspective of the Investor Relations Officer by building a global IR thought leadership panel. Incorporating the views of over 1,000 IROs globally, Rivel will provide Intelligence Council members with pertinent information and benchmarking on various topics related to IR, starting with targeting, earnings calls and PowerPoint presentations in April. This research will provide IROs with keen insight into what their peers are doing on any IR issue that may surface.
Another interactive feature available to Intelligence Council members is the Concierge service, where dedicated Rivel staff provide personalised assistance by researching answers to member questions quickly and efficiently all based on the data in the Intelligence Council database.
The newest addition to Rivel's Intelligence Council is custom perception work, which offers members company-specific, highly customisable interviews as an addendum to the programme. A fixed number of interviews per year on a shorter, 10-question line of inquiry can be used however the member deems appropriate.
