Over the next few weeks it will also be available in the following eBook stores: iBookstore, Barnes & Noble, Baker & Taylor, Copia, Gardners, eSentral, Scribd, Goodreads, Oyster and Flipkart. The RHA Haulage Manual eBook is compatible with the majority of eBook readers.
"At 420 pages the printed manual is a weighty tomb," says the RHA's Head of Publications, Peter Shakespeare. "A key benefit of RHA membership, a hard copy of the manual has been sent free to members each January for the last 20 plus years; helping them to comply with their O Licence undertakings and road transport law. Until now, if members required additional copies of this highly respected publication - the 2014 edition foreword was written by the Senior Traffic Commissioner - they could only obtain them from the RHA Shop. It can also be purchased by non-members and represents excellent value compared with similar commercially available publications.
"Now keeping up with the latest publishing trends we have made it available as an eBook, meaning hauliers and their transport managers can have the latest edition with them wherever they go."
Peter Shakespeare adds: "At the 2013 RHA Compliance Conference, the Senior Traffic Commissioner held the RHA Haulage Manual up and recommended that delegates read it from 'cover to cover'. In addition to the legal requirements covered in the manual we include operational advice covering a wide range of subjects provided by leading industry suppliers such as: Scania, ATS, Linde Material Handling, Q8 and Mandata. It truly is the haulage industry's Bible! And now it can be referred to anytime anywhere and at £24.49 for the eBook version, it represents fantastic value for money."
