LONDON, September 4, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --
TES Global today announces the appointment of Rob Grimshaw as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO).
Rob will start with TES Global in early November, joining from FT.com, the online branch of the Financial Times, where he is currently Managing Director. Rob has been responsible for the highly acclaimed and hugely impressive digital strategy which gained the Financial Times global recognition for its digital media transformation.
Rob has worked for the Financial Times for 15 years and has held a number of roles there, including Head of Client Sales & Key Accounts and Head of Global Advertising, Strategy & Operations. Prior to becoming MD of FT.com, Rob spent nearly two years as Director of Advertising and Global Online Strategy at the Financial Times. Rob is probably best known for his enormously successful implementation of the FT's digital subscription business model, which then resulted in his responsibilities being expanded to include the FT's print subscription business and the FT conferences.
Commenting on the appointment, TES Global CEO Louise Rogers said:
"I am delighted Rob is joining us. TES Global is rapidly growing beyond its UK publishing heritage and becoming a leading global digital education business. Rob's background in digital transformation, sales and the development of world-class products and content will be invaluable in advancing our position in the industry. His passion for education and ambition to make a difference in such a profoundly important industry deeply resonates with the TES Global values."
