36 National Champions at this year's European Business Awards sponsored by RSM
In a special event held at the Residence of the British Ambassador John Kittmer, RSM Greece (member of the RSM network, one of the largest global networks of Chartered Accountants and Business Advisors) celebrated the success of the 36 Greek companies which were distinguished as National Champions at this year's European Business Awards sponsored by RSM 2015/16.

Official guests at the recent event were the Minister of Interior and Administrative Reconstruction, Panagiotis Kouroumplis and Constantinos Evripides, President of the Entrepreneurship Club, who both gave speeches and participated in the award ceremony. At the award ceremony speeches were delivered by John Kittmer, British Ambassador, and Adrian Tripp, CEO of the European Business Awards and Athos Stylianou, Managing Director of RSM. The event was attended by major Greek entrepreneurs and business executives, who enjoyed the award ceremony for the 36 National Champions, and the dinner event and networking among attendees afterwards.
The event was sponsored by Genesis Pharma and Hygeia Hospital. These companies have won the European Business Awards in previous years in the categories of Chairman's Selection and Employer of the Year. Their contribution shows that they are worthy supporters of the effort of RSM for the promotion of Greek entrepreneurship and RSM expressed its warm thanks for their contribution. The effort to highlight Greek Entrepreneurship through the European Business Awards started 9 years ago and takes place in our country sponsored and supported by RSM Greece. As in previous years, this year also, Greek nominations were submitted mostly by RSM, which supports them complimentary in all stages of the event. The objective of RSM is to highlight Greek entrepreneurship, thus, sending along with Greek companies that managed to be distinguished, a very strong and positive message to the rest of Europe.

The 36 Greek companies that distinguished themselves as National Champions hold the 6th place in total distinctions by country, among the 33 countries participating in the European Business Awards 2015/16. In this 9th year of holding the awards event, a recordbreaking total number of 32,000 European businesses participate in the competition this year, 33% more than the previous year.
The 36 National Champions of our country qualified for the next stage of the competition in which the judges will attend and will evaluate the video presentations submitted by 678 National Champions, representing 33 countries across Europe. On February 9, 2016, the President of the jury will announce which of the National Champions from across Europe, will be distinguished by the honorary title Ruban d'Honneur and will advance to the next and final phase of the competition. This title is given to the top ten companies from all over Europe for each category of the awards. There are ten categories and therefore a hundred Ruban d'Honneur winners from all over Europe. The final winners of each category of the 100 Ruban d'Honneur winners will be revealed at a prestigious award ceremony in June 2016.
Note: After the great success of the two previous years, the European Business Awards will simultaneously run an online video public vote, where the public can vote for their favorite company based on the video presentation submitted by the companies on the European Business Awards website. The National Champion from Greece, but also from each country, who will gather the most votes from the public vote will be distinguished as 'National Public Champion'. The National Public Champion from each country will then participate in a second phase of online public voting that runs parallel to the competition, where the winner will get the ultimate title of 'European Public Champion'.
