With the UK care market currently estimated to be valued in excess of £55 billion to the economy, the country's largest care event - The Care Show and its co-locating event, The Dementia Care Show - will this year take place on 4 and 5 November at the NEC Birmingham. The event will feature over 250 of the country's leading suppliers and experts in care for the benefit of the expected 3000 visitors from care homes, home care agencies, the NHS and associations based across the country.

With the date of the next general election confirmed to be 7 May 2015, The Care Show will host a high-profile debate featuring Rt Hon Stephen Dorrell MP who will present his vision of the role of the Care Sector in any future integrated health and care system in the UK. His colleagues on the panel are pioneers from the world of residential care: BUPA and Anchor; home agency care: Mitie's MiHomeCare and an innovative newcomer to the UK market advocating a more communal way of living, Evermore. The Care Show will also feature two seminar theatres that will run simultaneous educational programmes and feature leading industry commentators. The Dementia Care Theatre will cover topics such as: Dementia Care in the Community and Inspirational Dementia Care Projects. The programme has been developed in association with Stirling University's Dementia Services Development Centre (DSDC), UK Active, the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and the National Care Association.
An additional Keynote Theatre at the event will profile leading speakers from the CQC, National Skills Academy and NICE to inspire attendees on topics including: The Care Act - Implications for Providers; Understanding and marketing to the self-funder; Recruitment and retaining of staff; Occupancy levels and CQC regulation.
