The HBA is an organization dedicated to furthering the advancement of women in healthcare worldwide. Through this award Sabine Dandiguian is being recognized as having a significant impact on the healthcare industry and experienced significant career advancement.
Sabine was President of Janssen France from 2005 and was promoted to the role of Managing Director for Emerging European Markets, for Janssen, the Pharma business of Johnson & Johnson in 2010. Then in July 2013 she was promoted to her current role as Company Group Chairman, Global Surgery EMEA for Johnson and Johnson.
"I am very honored and proud to receive the HBA Luminary award," said Sabine. "When I started my career many years ago in France, the percentage of women in senior management positions hovered around 20%. Women were also trying to emulate and manage business like men. That is changing through the HBA and women's leadership initiatives that are driven by corporations such as Johnson & Johnson. Woman leaders have since learned that those who truly make an impact on their teams and the business, do so by bringing their own personal style to the role and believing in it. So while advancing in a leadership role was certainly more complicated for women in the past, today we are beginning to see more women seated at the table."
