Schenck Process at the VICTAM 2015: Flowing Processes for a Demanding Industry
DARMSTADT, Germany, May 19, 2015 /PRNewswire/ --
When it comes to handling sensitive bulk material at maximum energy efficiency and complying with strict hygiene regulations, there is hardly a more demanding industry than the food industry. Schenck Process, the global specialist in measuring and process technology excels with its solutions in pneumatic and mechanical conveying solutions, bulk material feeders and process controls in all of these areas while also setting new standards. These will be on display at this year's VICTAM International from June 9-11 on the Koelnmesse grounds.
The Darmstadt-based company will be presenting its process solutions at the world's leading trade fair for the food, biomass, and bulk grain industry at booth A056 which have been specifically designed for the company's core technologies and specifically developed with the industry in mind.
The compact and dust-proof MULTICOR S mass flow-rate feeding device is the optimal solution for feeding bulk materials. Using centrifugal force, the feeder accelerates the raw material and measures the Criolis force with the aid of a rotating measuring wheel. With an accuracy of ±0.5%, the material flow can also be measured accurately even with changing bulk density or different grain sizes and fed in conjunction with an adjustable prefeeder irrespective of the properties of the bulk solids. It is neither affected by nor sensitive to external influences.
The MULTIDOS weighfeeder in quick-clean design has been specifically tailored to the hygiene standards of the pet food industry and food manufacturers. This means that the weighbelt can be easily removed for cleaning without the need for tools, the stainless steel load cell is designed for high-pressure cleaning, and all product contact parts are accessible through large inspection openings. The surfaces which come into contact with the product and weighbelt are of course available in stainless steel.
In addition, Schenck Process will be presenting pet food manufactures with its E-Finity pneumatic low pressure continuous dense phase convey system used for conveying delicately crushed food material with minimal degradation as well as the MechaTron loss-in-weight feeder for conveying easy to moderately flowing bulk solids.
