Serneke to Build Waste Water Treatment Plant in Strömstad
STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Dec 21, 2016 /PRNewswire/ --
Serneke Civil Engineering has been commissioned by the municipality of Strömstad to build a new waste water treatment plant. The project is valued at approximately SEK 80 million and will be included in order bookings for the fourth quarter of 2016.
The municipality of Strömstad is currently experiencing problems of capacity in terms of waste water and sludge treatment and is also facing a future load increase, as a result of expansions and new connections. Accordingly, Serneke Civil Engineering has been commissioned by the municipality to remodel and extend the Österröd sewage treatment plant.
"We are pleased to have been chosen to develop the Österröd sewage treatment plant. This project is entirely in line with our strategy and is an important project for Serneke Civil Engineering," says Fredrik Jonsson, CEO Serneke Civil Engineering.
The Österröd waste water treatment plant project comprises about 11 different processing facilities and includes remodeling, extension and new construction. All of the facilities are being built in the Österröd waste water treatment area approximately 1.4 kilometers southeast of Strömstad.
"The municipality of Strömstad is looking forward to collaborating with Serneke. For us, the Österröd sewage treatment plant is a stage in developing Strömstad for the future," says Jerry Johansson, commissioner of water management for the municipality of Strömstad.
Construction of the waste water treatment plant will begin in the spring of 2017, with completion scheduled for the spring of 2019.
