SESAR JU is the technological and operational dimension of the Single European Sky (SES) initiative to meet future capacity and air safety needs. The mission of the SESAR JU is to develop a modernised air traffic management system for Europe.
Peter F. Dumont, President and CEO of ATCA, said: "SESAR's commitment is indicative of the calibre of participants at World ATM Congress. By bringing together organisations like SESAR, top policy makers from around the world, ANSPs, financiers, and ATM innovators large and small, World ATM Congress will be a vital, unifying force with the mission of communicating the top trends and most important issues in air traffic."
Samantha Sharif, CANSO Director General (Interim), added: "This clear vote of confidence sends a strong message that the industry is choosing World ATM Congress beginning in 2013. On behalf of CANSO member ANSPs, we look forward to working together on a truly industry-led event."
The participation of SESAR is representative of the quality of the participants already lined up for World ATM Congress 2013. Equally impressive are the many exclusive events taking place solely in Madrid throughout the conference: the SESAR Forum and technical workshops; CANSO's CEO Conference and Operations Conference; and the Jane's Awards dinner, hosted by CANSO, will celebrate the improvements in air traffic over the past 12 months in the most important areas for the future of the industry.
In addition to SESAR, other world-class organizations have made exclusive commitments to exhibit at World ATM Congress including AENA, The Boeing Company, Eurocontrol, ENAV S.p.A., Harris Corporation, Indra, Lockheed Martin, Metron Aviation, NATS UK, Saab-Sensis, and Thales.
Leaders from these and other companies have voiced their support of the event in the latest World ATM Congress video, now available on YouTube and the World ATM Congress website.
