Shop the Entire SportScheck Universe Within Seconds With Yapital
LUXEMBOURG, May 7, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --
As of now, paying by smartphone is possible in any SportScheck store in Germany. SportScheck is the first multi-channel retailer on the market to integrate Yapital across all sales channels
Fast and convenient shopping with Yapital in a SportScheck store has now become a reality throughout Germany. Europe's first cross-channel payment method has been successfully integrated in all 18 SportScheck stores, making SportScheck the first multi-channel retailer to use Yapital across all channels. No matter which channel is used, payment is always easy, fast and secure via a QR code scan with the Yapital app on the smartphone.
As one of the first major retailers, SportScheck integrated Yapital in July 2013 in their online shop. In December, payment by invoice via QR code scan was introduced. The pilot for the retail store started in January 2014 at the Hamburg branch in Mönckebergstraße. Today, it really doesn't matter where customers shop at SportScheck: They can always use Yapital as a payment method. The result is an even more coherent payment experience in multi-channel retail - a key criterion in Yapital's design. To protect customers' sensitive data, Yapital uses the latest encryption and security processes.
"Yapital is ideal for multi-channel retail as we connect all sales channels intelligently - much to the consumers' and distributors' benefit," says Nils Winkler, Chairman of the Board of Yapital. "This will open up completely new revenue potential in the future."
Stefan Herzog, spokesperson and member of the Board of SportScheck, explains: "With Yapital, we round off our portfolio as Germany's leading multi-channel sports retailer. The modern consumer is now shopping anytime, anywhere and across all channels. Being able to pay with an app that is cashless, mobile, safe, fast and convenient to use across all channels - that's real added value for our multi-channel customers."
