To date, international exhibitors which have confirmed their participation at the event are from countries such as Belgium, Germany, Japan, Italy, Switzerland, UK and the US. They will showcase finished fine jewellery, precious gemstones such as the blue diamond and natural pearls among others. Many of these exhibitors are manufacturers who supply jewellery and gemstones to some of the world's largest and most reputable international brands.
Said Paul Wan, Managing Director for UBM Asia Trade Fairs Pte Ltd, "Singapore is nestled in the heart of Asia and presents tremendous business opportunities for jewellers to showcase their products and capture the consumer demand in Singapore. Singapore is also home to 91,200 high-net-worth individuals and will continue to be one of the top cities of choice for the world's high net worth individuals. Alone, ASEAN's combined wealth is reported to be worth over US$1.24 trillion. We observe that wealthy Asians have moved away from traditional investments towards 'passion investments' such as jewellery. We already have the world's largest fine jewellery show in Hong Kong and hope to replicate its success in Singapore."
Singapore Jewellery & Gem Fair features a stellar line up of over 200 prominent fine jewellery companies from around the world. Featuring their latest cutting edge designs, visitors can expect to see an extravagant showcase of rare diamonds, precious gemstones, lustrous pearls and antique jewelleries.
The event is the only fair of its kind in Singapore to be endorsed by the Singapore Jewellers Association and the Diamond Exchange of Singapore. Catering to the ASEAN market, Singapore Jewellery & Gem Fair is the sister event to the world's largest jewellery event, the September Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Fair. Recognised as one of the top three trade events of its kind in Asia, the fair attracts more than 51,000 buyers and more than 3,500 exhibitors from around the world.
