BARCELONA, Spain, March 4, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Enevo announced today it has joined the LoRa™ Alliance as part of its initiative to support additional wireless IoT network technologies.
Enevo's waste logistics optimization solution uses smart fill-level sensors, cloud based computing, advanced analytics and dynamic street route planning capabilities to provide the most cost efficient waste collection plans for entire cities. Cities, public and private waste collection organizations, together with Enevo can save up to 50% in their waste collection cost, increase customer satisfaction by eliminating overflowing bins and enhance waste collection service quality.
"Enevo's customers need cost-efficient and robust enterprise grade wireless communications networks to support this mission critical application. LoRaWAN networks provide good quality of service, cover large areas, support large volumes of devices, while enabling very good power efficiency for battery driven wireless sensors, such as Enevo's," says Pirkka Palomaki, CTO of Enevo. Enevo's LoRaWAN™ fill-level sensor will be commercially available Q3, 2015.
Enevo will also support additional major wireless IoT network technologies and provide Wi-Fi and LTE Cat-0 enabled sensors in the near future. "At the core of Enevo's technology strategy is to meet our customers needs by maintaining our position to be wireless network agnostic," says Pirkka Palomaki, CTO of Enevo.
