Staffing Industry Analysts Releases List of Largest Global Staffing Firms

- Adecco Retains Number One Position

MOUNTAIN VIEW, California, July 19, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Staffing Industry Analysts, the leading global advisor on contingent work, announced the 2012 list of largest global staffing firms. Adecco topped the list with 20.1 billion euros in revenue and 6.92% market share while Randstad Holding recaptured second place from ManpowerGroup with 16.2 billion euros in revenue.

Staffing Industry Analysts estimates the global staffing market to be worth approximately 291 billion euros with a 9% growth over the prior year. Over 100 staffing companies had 2011 annual revenues in excess of 215 million euros and only three firms recorded lower revenues in 2011 as compared to 2010.

The five largest global staffing companies are:

"The larger staffing companies have grown at the expense of smaller companies," said John Nurthen, Staffing Industry Analysts' executive director, international development. "The firms on our list had total revenues of 134 billion euros in 2011 representing almost half of global revenues and achieved an average growth rate of 22%."

The U.S. had 45 staffing firms on the list, followed by the U.K. with 19 and Japan with 10. In addition, over 20 firms made the list for the first time.
