Statement on the Passing of Lennart Lindblad, Founder of Autoliv, Inc.
STOCKHOLM, Feb. 8, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- It is with deep sadness that we recognize that Lennart Lindblad, founder of Autoliv, died on January 30 at the age of 89 after a time of illness.
Lennart Lindblad founded the company Lindblads Autoservice AB in 1953 with his brother Stig Lindblad and developed the company's first seatbelt in 1956. In 1968 the company changed name to Autoliv AB.
