Strong Sales Strengthen DigitalRoute Presence in North America
STOCKHOLM and ATLANTA, September 12, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --
Five new MediationZone deployments reduce overall BSS TCO and time-to-market for new services while addressing multiple key Use Cases
DigitalRoute, the market leader in data management and mediation solutions today announced that no fewer than five North American Service Providers have recently implemented or are in the process of implementing DigitalRoute's MediationZone product to address a variety of mission critical Use Cases.
Notwithstanding the unique features of each deployment, MediationZone was principally selected across the board for both its flexibility and its extensive functionality. The product supports a variety of use cases additional to billing mediation and can be quickly configured to provide a future proof solution in key areas such as usage management, service assurance and online routing.
One of the new DigitalRoute customers, a leading regional wireless service provider, turned to MediationZone to support the company's LTE rollout after DigitalRoute technical experts had demonstrated their expertise as consultants in a related billing transformation project in which an existing mediation system was being replaced. They realized that by using MediationZone to, as they put it, "fix the plumbing" in their BSS, they could buy the time necessary to make better long-term decisions around replacing other components like billing further down the line.
Another of the new customers, a long-established communications company, is using MediationZone to address a Usage Management Use Case whereby the mediation product divides usage records into pre-identified buckets, thereby providing significant downstream billing offload and enabling a much leaner approach to charging that precludes the need to re-configure the billing system itself. A third customer, a Cloud MVNO and application provider, is using MediationZone in a similar way, but this time the commercial context is machine-to-machine usage metering.
For DigitalRoute's fourth new customer, a wi-fi provider, MediationZone fills the critical but more traditional requirement of BSS offload of wi-fi related event data. The fifth newcomer to the DR ranks, a major player in the cable TV industry, also uses MediationZone for this Use Case.
Cementing a growing presence in the region evidenced by these sales, next week (September 19th) DigitalRoute is holding its first North American regional User Group meeting in Chicago, IL. Customers will gather to share ideas, product knowledge, and learn more about the MediationZone roadmap.
These MediationZone deployments are being delivered by a combination of both DigitalRoute's in-region services team and also partner organizations. Taken together, they demonstrate the company's growing presence in the North American landscape. Said Jan Karlsson, CEO, DigitalRoute: "Five new MediationZone implementations for a variety of Use Cases all taking place more or less simultaneously attests to our presence in the region as well as the contribution that our product is making towards re-inventing what can be achieved through the BSS. We believe that our product will be a cornerstone of enabling business innovation in the North American communications industry."
